IMPORTANT: This application is tailored for music production enthusiasts and requires an AUv3 Audio Unit Host to operate. It does not have standalone functionality. Furthermore, please note that this application does not generate sound; it serves as a controller for other applications that do.
Xequence AU | Pads is an expressive and fully customizable drum pad interface designed for use within AU (Audio Unit) hosts like AUM, Cubasis, apeMatrix, and other compatible platforms.
It boasts the same highly-regarded pad editor that users of Xequence, our sophisticated MIDI workstation, have come to admire.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Highly responsive and fully customizable drum pads
- Includes over 40 factory drum maps for popular applications/hardware
- Users can create and save custom maps as user presets
- Adjustable map size from 1 x 1 to 8 x 8 (64 pads) and any size in between
- "Glide" mode enables pad triggering by sliding between them
- Velocity emulation via tap position, offering several modes and curves to select from
- Configurable global color and MIDI channel settings
- Each pad can be assigned its unique color and/or MIDI channel
- "Zoom to pad" feature expands any single pad to full screen temporarily for enhanced expressive playing
- Automatically adjusts to nearly any plugin window size or aspect ratio
- Efficiently designed for optimal speed and resource usage
- Supports unlimited instances simultaneously
- Robust MIDI and touch implementation adept at handling aggressive playing styles effortlessly
- Complete support for AU presets, including state saving/restoration within the host environment
CONTROLLERS:
- Configure any number of MIDI CCs (controllers) freely and display them as touch ribbons adjacent to the pads
- Includes various standard controller numbers (e.g., 74 = Cutoff, 7 = Volume) which can be set with a single tap
SPECIAL CONTROLLER MODES:
- Each controller can be assigned one of the following special modes:
- DEVICE ROTATION - controller adjusts based on device rotation
- GATE - allows setting a default position which can be toggled by tapping anywhere (similar to "Trance gates")
